At the centre, a giraffe is surrounded by a zebra, hippo, rhino, elephant, lion, gorilla, okapi, ring-tailed lemur, ostrich and secretary bird, all rendered in fine engraved-style linework. Each animal appears in its own shade of blue, from deep indigo to pale cornflower, while a cornflower blue border and fine inner keyline frame the design.

Made from mulberry silk twill, it has a soft sheen and refined texture, with enough body to hold its shape neatly at the neck or across the shoulders.
