Why it stands out

The Orientalist Origins Vodka takes a broader approach than a standard single-base vodka. It is triple blended using longan honey from Taiwan, barley from the Tibetan highlands and nine varieties of potatoes sourced across Asia, then proofed with ultra-soft water from Japan’s Sakurajima Peninsula. That combination gives it a more distinctive identity than a neutral, one-dimensional style, while still keeping the vodka clean and composed.

Flavour profile

In the glass, this is smooth and creamy rather than sharp. You get a delicate sweetness first, followed by light earthy and herbaceous notes that add interest without pulling it away from vodka’s clean core. The overall profile is rounded, refined and easy to work with.

Good to know

At 40% ABV, it suits a measured pour over ice and works especially well in a very dry Martini, where its texture and subtle aromatic lift have room to show. If you want a vodka with more character than the usual clean-cut style, this is a strong bottle to consider.
