Distilled from the stalks and flowering tops of lavender plants, Tisserand Lavender Essential Oil is a thin, colourless essential oil with a gentle floral fragrance. Ethically harvested in Bulgaria and produced by steam distillation, it suits a range of rituals, from evening wind-down to massage blends.

Lavender essential oil is traditionally used to promote deep relaxation and emotional reassurance, and user trials have shown improvements in relaxation and sleep quality. It is also used in rejuvenating and calming skin treatments for all skin types, and is noted for antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and therapeutic qualities that encourage the renewal of healthy skin cells. Beyond skincare, it has been used to help calm the body and to deter household pests such as bed bugs, moths and flies.

How to apply:

Diffuser Blend - Add 6-8 drops of Lavender to your diffuser to create a soothing and calming atmosphere. It is also helpful for relieving the symptoms of coughs and colds.

Massage Blend - Add up to 5 drops per 10ml of blending oil, perfect for a relaxing bedtime massage.

Skin Blend - Add 2 drops per 10ml of blending oil for a facial blend or up to 5 drops per 10ml of blending oil for use on the body. Beneficial for all skin types.

Bath Blend - Add 4-6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of blending oil. Add to your bath water and swirl to disperse. This will make at least 3 baths.

Inhalation - Useful as a facial steam, add 3 drops of Lavender to a bowl of hot water, place a towel over your head, close your eyes and breathe. Application not suitable for asthmatics, instead use in a diffuser
