From V&A, the Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit Can Mug brings a touch of storybook character to hot drinks, turning everyday tea and coffee moments into something more playful. Part of the Alice in Wonderland collection, it’s finished in white and decorated with a black and white illustration of the White Rabbit, smartly dressed in a waistcoat and blazer as he checks his pocket watch, picked out with gold detail.

Inspired by the Alice in Wonderland card game and featuring artwork by Sir John Tenniel (1820–1914), the design rewards a closer look. Along the inside rim, the White Rabbit’s famous line, ‘Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!’ adds a charming detail, while a second view shows him scampering off into the distance. Once your drink is finished, a final surprise appears in the base: the image of his pocket watch.
