For wood-burning stove owners who want a more even spread of heat, the Valiant Premium IV Stove Fan set brings together three practical tools in one package: the Valiant Premium IV stove fan, a magnetic thermometer and a moisture meter. The heat-powered fan sits on the stove and circulates warm air around the room, while the thermometer helps monitor stove and flue temperature, and the moisture meter checks fuel moisture content before burning.

Compact in size, the fan stands 199mm high and starts operating at 50°C, making it suitable for cool-topped stoves as well as more traditional models. It uses stove heat to power the motor, so there is no need for batteries or a mains connection. The set also includes a green magnetic thermometer for steel surfaces and a moisture meter with a backlit screen, colour-change indication and readings in °C or °F.

Care

• Place the fan on top of the stove and it will start automatically when the temperature reaches 50°C.
• The thermometer can be placed on the top, front or side of a flat or curved surface.
• For stainless steel flue applications, do not attach the thermometer to the flue pipe; attach it to the stove collar or place it on the stove top.

Safety information

• To burn effectively, the moisture content of firewood needs to be less than 20%.
• Freshly felled timber can have a moisture content of between 30% and 60%, which when burnt can cause creosote build-up in chimneys.
