Varvaglione Salice Salentino 2021 75cl

From Varvaglione in Salice Salentino, this 2021 red brings together Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera in a traditional field blend. Made from around 85% Negroamaro and 15% Malvasia Nera, the vines are planted together and the fruit is harvested at the same time, giving the wine a seamless, integrated character.

Deep purple-black in colour, it is full-bodied and rounded, with concentrated blackberry and plum aromas and flavours. A tight structure is balanced by freshness, leading to a long palate that suits hearty suppers and relaxed evening drinking alike.
