Vintage Tom An impressive opal and diamond ring

A fine 18 carat white gold cluster ring containing an oval opal centre stone 8.6x7mm, estimated at one carat. Good play of colour across the stone from electric blue, peacock  green and some fire bright orange.

This is surrounded by fourteen brilliant cut white diamonds to a total estimated total of 0.55 carats, colour G-h, clarity Si.  Claw set head, measures 14x12mm, depth 6mm, weight 4.6grams. Hallmarks for London 1978.

This beautiful ring would just look superb on any finger, and if one was born in October then this would have the added benefit of being that person's birthstone. One can wonder at the changes in colour when twisted against the light.
