Each end features open slots for a bar to rest into. With the bar positioned horizontally, place a vertical bar holding your windbreak into each end, then use the adjustable screw to set the required length between the bars. Once fitted, the rod helps prevent the bars from moving, supporting the windbreak so it stays more evenly tensioned.
