Each arched cage is formed from 3.5 mm wire with a 5 x 10 cm mesh and is designed to be filled with rocks or gravel to create a stable wall. Strengthened gabion hooks draw opposing wire panels tightly together, helping each basket maintain its shape once filled. For a more individual finish, the baskets can be filled with natural materials including concrete, sandstone or coloured stone.
