Black Sabbath 'The Eternal Idol' (Deluxe Expanded Edition) is a 2CD digipack edition with bonus material. Originally issued on 1st November 1987, this thirteenth studio album followed a period of vocalist changes during the mid-1980s, with Ray Gillen brought in for live commitments and studio sessions before Tony Martin re-recorded the final vocal takes for release.
This Deluxe Expanded Edition includes a 2009 remaster of the album on CD1, plus two single b-sides from "The Shining": "Black Moon" and "Some Kind of Woman" (2010 remasters). CD2 presents the complete album session originally recorded by Ray Gillen, issued on CD for the first time, as alternate studio recordings.
