From Paarl in South Africa, Boland Cellar’s One Formation is a white blend shaped under the guidance of winemaker Bernard Smuts. Combining 59% Chenin Blanc, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 17% Grenache Blanc, it is matured for six months in oak barrels, giving the wine a gentle wooded character alongside bright fruit and texture.
Layered aromas of green apple and kiwi lead into a palate of ripe pear and melon, balanced by subtle green pepper notes and a softly lingering finish. Old bush-vine Chenin Blanc brings ripe, creamy stone fruit character, while Sauvignon Blanc adds crisp green fruit and Grenache Blanc contributes richness and texture. 13.5% ABV, this is a poised white suited to delicately flavoured seafood and poultry dishes.
