Our slippers are carefully hand-felted using 100% raw sheep wool, soap and water. The shades of grey, brown and cream are completely natural, while other colours are produced using Azo-free dyes. Wool is a natural insulator, with high breathability, and it resists odours due to its natural antibacterial properties. Wool is one of the most sustainable fabrics in existence; renewable and biodegradable, it requires relatively little water for its production.
Our slippers are hand-felted by a women's co-operative in Nepal. Each piece is made around a reusable 'resist' mould and felted by hand, They are dried in the sun and the suede sole is beautifully machine-stitched into place to finish each pair.
These slippers are individually handcrafted by people who are fairly paid.
We recommend sizing up if in any doubt. While the slippers will mould gently to the wearer's feet with use, their lifespan will be extended if they are not stretched.
Care instructions: Spot clean with damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. A suede brush may be useful.
