It targets wavelengths associated with mercury vapour and both high and low pressure sodium vapour lighting, while also reducing neutral oxygen emission in the atmosphere.

This ultra high contrast light pollution reduction filter darkens the sky background and improves contrast on emission nebulae. Advanced coatings deliver over 97% transmission across the full bandpass, with total blockage of prominent light pollution lines. The 60nm passband maintains a more natural view while increasing overall contrast, and the filter also includes an efficient H-Alpha passband at 656nm. Multi-layer dielectric coatings are plasma assisted and Ionbeam hardened for durability and scratch resistance.
