Champagne Lallier Rosé Brut Champagne N.V.

From Champagne Lallier, the Rosé Brut Champagne N.V. is a pale pink Champagne shaped by Pinot Noir with one fifth Chardonnay, offering an exhilarating sense of freshness with an elegant, softly red-fruited profile. Matured in bottle on its lees for at least 36 months, it opens with clean, fresh red fruit on the nose before moving to lively flavours of wild strawberry and raspberry on the palate, finished with an appealing softness. Poised and easy to sip, it’s particularly well suited to serving as an apéritif.

Lallier’s Grand Rosé is made exclusively from Grand Cru parcels from Aÿ, Verzenay, Oger and Cramant, selected for their low yield at harvest. Winemaker Francis Tribaut uses the ‘millefeuille’ technique, alternately layering Chardonnay and Pinot Noir during temperature-controlled maceration to extract colour without tannin. The wine is aged on lees for at least 3 years, then disgorged 4 months before shipping with a dosage of 8g/l of reserve wine aged in oak.

Founded in 1906 by René Lallier, the house has remained rooted in the village of Aÿ, one of the seventeen villages classified as Grand Cru in Champagne in 1936.
