Presented here as a gift set, it includes the wine, a branded glass and a branded corkscrew. Ready for immediate enjoyment, it also has the structure for extended cellaring. Serve at 18–20°C and decant 30 minutes before pouring to bring out its full aromatic character.

Tasting notes

Nose

Complex and intense, with pronounced fruits, dark plums, black cherries, black currant jam, blackberries, sweet elderberries, fine roasted notes, vanilla, mild spices, cloves, liquorice and saffron.

Palate

Well structured with good depth, ripe tannins, balanced fruit and mild spices. Rich flavours of ripe fresh plums, figs and forest berries run through the palate.

Finish

Very good length and depth.

Serving suggestion

Serve at 18–20°C and decant 30 minutes before serving. Pairs well with noble ripened cheeses, baked deer roulade filled with figs, and roulade of pheasant with chestnut purée.
