Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin

From the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin comes from one of Burgundy’s most established communes. This premier cru is drawn from the Lavaux vineyard, a south-facing site at the top of the slope in the north-west of the commune, where calcareous clay soils and favourable exposure shape its character.

Louis Jadot has owned 0.54 acres here since 1985, following the purchase of Domaine Clair Daü. The wine is noted for exceptional finesse and a suppleness that stands apart within Gevrey, with a delicate tannic structure, silky refined fruit and an elegant, lingering finish.
