From Chiara Boschis, E. Pira Barolo Via Nuova Organic 2020 is an organic Barolo with a concentrated, savoury style and notable structure. The 2020 vintage opens with fresh strawberry fruit, followed by dried cherry, vanilla, fenugreek, chestnut and mushroom.

Deep and full-bodied on the palate, it combines breadth and richness with finely judged tannin and a strong sense of freshness. The balance of weight and ripeness gives it poise, while its firm structure makes it well suited to further cellaring. It will benefit from a couple of years in bottle and can be enjoyed over a decade or longer.
