Wynns Michael Limited Release Shiraz 2016 75cl

From Wynns, Michael Limited Release Shiraz 2016 is a Coonawarra red drawn from the top 2% of the producer’s Shiraz production and made only in top vintages. The 2016 vintage is fully ready to enjoy now, while offering the structure to evolve over at least another 15 years in cellar.

Shiraz was the first variety planted at Wynns in 1857 by John Riddoch, and fruit from some of the earliest vines planted is used here. The wine shows a refined, fragrant style with delicate aromas of freesia, clove, allspice and cinnamon, followed by plum and cherry fruit. On the palate, it is super-silky and beautifully proportioned, with touches of eucalyptus and liquorice alongside balanced acidity and tannin.
