David Gilmour Luck and Strange is a limited LP pressed on translucent sea blue vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve with a booklet. Recorded over five months in Brighton and London, it is his first album of new material in nine years and includes eight new tracks plus a reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ Between Two Points.

Produced by David and Charlie Andrew, the album has lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson. Romany Gilmour provides backing vocals across the album and performs vocals and harp on Between Two Points. Contributing musicians include Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert (bass), Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao (drums), Rob Gentry and Roger Eno (keyboards), with string and choral arrangements by Will Gardner. The title track includes Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 during a Barn Jam at David’s house. Photography and design are by Anton Corbijn.
