Ellis Rugby Crest Hoodie Red draws on rugby heritage, with a story linked to William Webb Ellis. Matthew Bloxam, a former pupil of Rugby, wrote in The Meteor on 10 October 1876 about a change in rules from a kicking game to a handling game, attributing the shift to Ellis. William Webb Ellis was born in Salford, Lancashire, and his paternal grandfather was from Pontyclun in South Wales.
Made as a full zip sweatshirt, it is finished with an appliqué crest on the front and matching heavy-duty rib cuffs. A contrast drawcord with bronze clasps and a bronze antique YKK zip add considered detail, while velvet strip-lined half kangaroo pockets complete the front.
