Ellis Rugby brings heritage detail to the England Rugby 1871 sweatshirt zipper, a quarter-zip style inspired by England Rugby teams across the decades, including the first international against Scotland in 1871. The design also references the 1877 match at Kennington Oval, when England played Ireland under the newer fifteen-a-side format introduced in 1875.
Finished with considered trims, it carries a ‘Red Rose’ appliqué with 1871 embroidery, alongside a decorative back seamed panel and contrast neck lining. An antique bronze zip adds a vintage note, while red, navy and ecru rib on the collar and cuffs completes the look. On the reverse, gold ‘Pride in the Jersey’ embroidery provides a final signature.
