Ellis Rugby’s St Paul’s Rugby Shirt 1871 draws on the club’s founding membership of the Rugby Football Union in 1871. The story traces back to 26 January 1871, when representatives of twenty-one London and suburban football clubs met at the Pall Mall Restaurant in Regent Street and agreed to form a Rugby Football Society, marking the birth of the Rugby Football Union.
Made from satin touch 100% cotton, this rugby shirt is finished with a detailed embroidery of the St Paul’s crest, plus herringbone detail and tape at the neck opening. Ellis Rugby branding sits at the neck, with a crest on the arm. A ‘Story-Teller’ microchip is included in the garment label on the front, just above the hem, which can be scanned to launch a video on compatible smartphones.
