Galicea Mare Elegance Feteasca Neagra 2018 Red Wine

From Galicea Mare Winery in Dolj County, this 2018 Feteasca Neagra is a dry red wine from the Oltenia region. Wine production has shaped local life here for more than a century, and the estate was restarted in 2016 under Iosefin Florea after several decades without production.

Robust, concentrated and intensely aromatic, it opens with a sweet touch before moving into red forest fruit, plum and leather notes. Soft freshness balances its richer character, while the palate carries sweet-and-sour fruit and earthy root notes with fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. It suits hearty dishes and mature cheeses, and can also be served with dark chocolate desserts.
