From Graham Beck, the Méthode Cap Classique Vintage Collection Ultra Brut 2018 is an ultra-dry Cap Classique, previously known as Brut Zero. Crafted without additional sugar in the dosage, it’s designed to let the wine’s intrinsic character and terroir come through with clarity.
In the glass, it shows a viridescent hue and opens with a lively bouquet of lemon zest and brioche, alongside subtle white-flower aromatics. The palate is rich and complex, balanced by fresh acidity and an exceptionally refined mousse, with a creamy texture and a rewarding finish. Fermented in the bottle and aged on its lees for a minimum of 36 months, this sparkling wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
Well suited to celebrations and special occasions, Ultra Brut also pairs neatly with seafood, salads and light meals. It is described as ideal to drink now or in the next 5 or 8 years.
