Green Day 'BBC Sessions' 2LP Milky Clear Vinyl

Green Day have dug deep into their archives to put together a "new" live-in-the-studio album of rare BBC session tracks recorded between 1994 and 2001

The 'BBC Sessions' come from various excursions of the punk icons to the famous Maida Vale Studios of the BBC.

In all, 16 songs await in chronological order, starting with their first, four-song set from 1994, when Green Day had just released their album "Dookie," which was the cornerstone of their career and is now one of the best-selling albums in the world, selling more than 20 million copies. Included are recordings of songs like "When I Come Around" and "Basket Case. " During their 1996 "Insomniac" tour, Green Day next played for the BBC, again performing four songs, including "Brain Stew/Jaded" and "Walking Contradiction. " in 1998, a session followed as part of the release of "Nimrod" with performances of "Nice Guys Finish Last" and "Hitchin' A Ride. " in 2001 they performed the last BBC set, with songs from their 2000 album "Warning", for example "Church On Sunday" and "Minority". The complete track listing can be found below. Green Day's 'BBC Sessions' is available on double LP as a Limited Indie Edition on Milky Clear Vinyl - annotated by former NME journalist and current BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq, for whose Evening Session shows the tracks were originally recorded.
