Underfoot, the foam insole is made from plant-derived organic materials, while the Gumtread outsole uses recycled rubber. Gumbies also partners with Empower AS; each purchase of the Outback slipper recovers the equivalent of 80 plastic bottles’ worth of plastics from ocean shorelines and riverbanks, supporting local waste-pickers in South-East Asia and Africa and converting recovered plastic into renewable materials.
