From Gutermann, Maraflex is an elastic stretch Sewing Thread designed to create flexible seams with a straight stitch, delivering up to 80% seam stretch when sewn correctly. It is particularly well suited to dressmaking projects where comfort and movement matter, including sewing around necklines, tight seams, and sleeve and leg cuffs.

Made using MCT (micro core technology), this high-quality thread is intended for light to mediumweight knitwear such as jersey, as well as light to medium weight elastic woven fabrics and fabrics containing elastane. For best results, sew with as little thread tension as possible, use the thread as both needle and bobbin thread, and aim for optimal seam elasticity with 4 stitch/cm. Thickness No. 120. Recommended needle: Jersey/Stretch in size 70/80.

Care

Wash at 60 degrees. Bleach allowed. Tumble dry at medium temperature. Use a hot iron. Dry clean using any solvent except trichloroethylene.
