From Gutermann, Maraflex 111 is an elastic stretch Sewing Thread designed to create flexible seams with a straight stitch. With particularly high stretch, it can deliver up to 80% seam stretch when sewn correctly, making it a practical choice for dressmaking where comfort and movement matter most.

Ideal for sewing around necklines, tight seams, and sleeve and leg cuffs, it is recommended for light to mediumweight knitwear such as jersey, as well as light to medium weight elastic woven fabrics and fabrics containing elastane. For best results, sew with as little thread tension as possible and use it as both needle and bobbin thread; optimal seam elasticity is achieved with 4 stitch/cm. Produced using MCT (micro core technology), Maraflex is made as a particularly high quality thread.

Care
