Hornby Railroad Class A4 4-6-2 4468 'Mallard' LNER

Celebrated for its place in British railway history, the LNER A4 Class locomotive “Mallard” remains one of the most famous steam engines ever built. Produced in 1938 and used on LNER express passenger services, it still holds the world speed record for steam traction at 126mph. Today, Mallard resides at the National Railway Museum in York.

Hornby recreates this icon as a Railroad range model in LNER Garter Blue. With a 4-6-2 wheel configuration and a 5 pole skew wound motor with loco drive, it brings a classic A4 outline to a collection centred on landmark locomotives.
