Hornby Class 153 360 Northern

Hornby recreates a familiar sight from regional British rail with this 1:76 scale Class 153 model in Northern company markings. Built for model railway layouts and collections, it runs on analogue DC control and comes ready-to-run for straightforward integration into an existing fleet. The prototype, unit 153360, operated widely around the Carlisle area, including duties on the Settle and Carlisle line and the Cumbria coastal route to Barrow-in-Furness, before later being placed into storage in late 2021 and eventually scrapped.

With practical layout-focused detailing such as NEM couplings and metal sprung buffers, it offers a considered representation of a well-known Class 153 unit from the Northern Rail era.
