Istenic Gourmet Rosé Brut 2018, Slovenia

From Istenic in Bizeljsko, Slovenia, Gourmet Rosé Brut 2018 is a traditional method sparkling rosé made from 100% Pinot Noir. This dry sparkling wine carries 12.5% ABV and is produced from free-run Pinot Noir in the best years only.

Its character is poised and refined, with a fine, racy mousse, redcurrant notes and a creamy finish. Pale pink in the glass, it suits aperitif service and works particularly well at the table with seafood and lighter savoury dishes. Suitable for vegans.

Red fruits and biscuity aromas, with raspberries, raspberry flowers and rose petals

Palate

Charming sweetness, a blush of acidity, lime slices dipped in raspberry juice, and a hint of walnut with gentle bitterness

Finish

Creamy, with a return to sweetness

Serving suggestion

Pairs beautifully with chargrilled mackerel, veal or shellfish. For cheese, serve with Petit-Basque sheep's milk cheese or Pecorino.
