The bulb holder component sits 4cm up from the bottom of a lampshade for a lamp, or 4cm down from the top of a ceiling pendant lampshade; for arc floor lamps, the shade should be ordered for a ceiling pendant so the fittings sit at the top.

With three layers of materials used in the construction (foil lining, PVC, then the chosen outer), the shade is designed so light does not permeate through the sides, directing illumination from the top and bottom and reflecting it off the metallic lining.
