‘Jubilee Diamond’ is a unique and high-quality silk pocket square in red, white & blue with hand-sewn hem, inspired by the artist's collaboration with the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. It was created with artist David Bent and is presented in a complimentary gift box. Made in England. Size 42cm x 42cm.

Design & Inspiration:

‘Jubilee Diamond’ is a unique and high-quality full-size silk pocket square, Made in England. It has been created in collaboration with David Bent, an artist with a strong interest in aviation & aerospace. His geometric shapes, bold colours, authentic detail and Boy’s Own bravado bring aviation and modern art together for a celebration of flight.

The original photocollage was inspired by David's collaboration with the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, and brings out the precision and beauty of display flying in the Diamond Jubilee formation. Initially working as Artist in Residence to the Red Arrows, today there continues a positive and enduring goodwill relationship and David remains closely associated with the team.

Quality:

In Macclesfield, the traditional home of English silk printing, the artwork is reproduced with great care. This enables an excellent balance of design colour & clarity between the printed and reverse sides of the fine 16oz Mulberry silk twill, ensuring the pocket square looks perfect whichever fold is used. The image is framed by the pocket square’s blue border and the skilfully hand-rolled & hand-sewn 'shoestring' hem in red. The overall quality of this pocket square from the UK's leading maker is what you would normally expect to find only on London's Savile Row or Jermyn Street.

'Jubilee Diamond' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, this stylish Red Arrows inspired silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and his vibrant artwork.

Material Composition & Care

High-quality 100% Mulberry silk woven into 16oz silk twill gives the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as ensuring the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket.

Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-finished hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape.
