Synopsis

This first picture dictionary introduces early dictionary skills through an A–Z word list of over 500 entries, each supported by an illustration and a short phrase. An alphabet strip down the side of every page highlights the relevant letter to help children learn basic navigation.

Extra themed sections at the back extend the vocabulary with groups of words linked to the calendar, outer space and fairy tales, as well as everyday settings such as the classroom and playground. Val Biro’s animals and other characters appear throughout the book.
