Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2022 75cl

From Poliziano in southern Tuscany, this 2022 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a red wine with depth, structure and immediate appeal. Predominantly made from Prugnolo Gentile, the Montepulciano variant of Sangiovese, it is supported by Colorino, Canaiolo and Merlot for added balance.

Deep in colour, the wine is juicy and intense, with flavours of dark cherries and ripe plums. Its richness, tannic structure and balance make it well suited to cellaring, while decanting allows it to be enjoyed sooner. Hand-picked fruit is followed by optical sorting of individual berries, with fermentation in conical stainless steel vats and ageing for 14 to 16 months in barrels of varying sizes.
