The 2023 vintage is matured entirely in chestnut and cherry wood barrels, with no oak, reflecting a long-established local tradition.

The result is a complex, poised wine with notable depth and a more classical feel. Cocoa, espresso, dried cherry, tobacco, truffle and antique wood shape the nose, while the palate brings liquorice, spice, roasted chestnuts, cranberries and forest floor. Bright acidity and gentle tannins carry the wine with elegance rather than weight.
