Distilled by Charles Rubbens in his famous distillery, it was created using outstanding grains and a refined, balanced blend of selected spices. The characteristic flavour is said to come from a recipe disclosed to him by a British soldier, and the Rubbens family continues to keep that recipe closely guarded by its descendant master-distillers.

Now named Poppies Gin as a tribute to those who fought, this spirit was enjoyed behind the frontlines by British soldiers and their officers.
