Scorpions Animal Magnetism is a 180g LP pressed on red vinyl. Recorded at the end of 1979 between two tours, the album was written and tracked under significant time pressure.

Matthias Jabs played a major role in shaping this release, with his guitar work central to the sound. It also includes his first original song, "Don't Make No Promises (Your Body Can't Keep)", co-written with Herman Rarebell. The album was the first by Scorpions to go platinum in the US and established the band among the biggest rock acts in North America.
