Drawn from a traditional Japanese tea style, The Earthy Hojicha Powder is made by gently roasting mature green tea leaves, then stone-milling them into a fine, silken powder. Unlike brighter green tea powders, this whole-leaf tea has a warm, deeply toasted character that suits drinking throughout the day.

The roasting process gives it a smooth, rounded profile and naturally reduces caffeine, with up to 90% less than matcha. Whisked with warm water and milk, it makes a comforting cup, and it also lends its roasted character to baking and desserts.

Serving suggestion

Whisk 1–2 teaspoons of hojicha powder with 60 ml of warm water. Add sweetener if desired, then mix with 180 ml of your preferred milk. It can also be used in cakes, custards and ice cream.
