The Mars Volta 'The Mars Volta' LP Black Vinyl

The Mars Volta ‘The Mars Volta’ is a black vinyl LP marking the group’s return after a lengthy hiatus. The band formed in 2001, led by guitarist and composer Omar Rodríguez-López and singer and lyricist Cedric Bixler-Zavala, following El Paso punk-rock group At The Drive-In.

This eponymous release draws on Latin sounds alongside punk and underground noise. The line-up here includes founder bassist Eva Gardner, drummer Willy Rodriguez Quiñones and keyboard-player Marcel Rodríguez-López, alongside Rodríguez-López and Bixler-Zavala.
