Synopses

The Spook's Apprentice

The County Spook has protected the area from evil for years, but his time is nearly over. After many apprentices have failed, only Thomas Ward remains. Tom must prove himself against Mother Malkin, described as the most dangerous witch in the County.

The Spook's Curse

Tom and the Spook work to defend the County from the dark. Beneath Priestown, a creature known as the Bane waits in the catacombs, and the Spook has never been able to defeat it. As they prepare to fight, another deadly enemy appears to threaten them both.

The Spook's Secret

As nights draw in, the Spook travels to his winter house, a place Tom dreads. Feral witches are kept in the cellar, and menacing creatures stir on the nearby moors. A sinister stranger threatens the Spook, raising questions about his past and what may happen if his secrets are revealed.

The Spook's Battle

While the Spook and Tom continue protecting the County, a terrible danger grows. Witches rise, and three powerful clans unite to conjure the Devil himself. Tom and his master must find the courage to face their most powerful enemy.
