Vintage Tom A fine Opal and Diamond Pendant

Probably one of the finest opal pendants we have had into our stock for many years. This beautiful pendant has a pear shaped opal 17x12mm, depth 7mm. The opal has a 'rainbow' of many wonderful colours, from fireglow orange, luminous greens, and iridescent blue. All these colours radiate from the stone when turning against the light.

Claw set with many claws for maximum safety, and complimented by a Princess Cut white diamond just below the bale, this 4x4mm (0.30 carats) colour G-h, clarity VS.

No hallmarks as overseas purchase, tests as 18 carat gold.

Neck chain 16" length. We can supply longer if required. Total weight 4.7grams.

Condition- The setting and chain is in perfect condition. The opal  has no obvious cracking or 'nibbles' to any edge. If one views under an eye glass a natural fissure can be seen which is perfectly normal for opals. this is not a crack, if it was it would be seen from the rear as well as the front, also a crack could also be felt when rubbing ones finger across the stone. To the naked eye this cannot be seen at all . However we will guarantee this.
