Vintage Tom A sapphire and diamond cluster ring

A large cluster ring containing an oval dark blue sapphire centre stone 7x5mm claw set and surrounded by fourteen small white diamonds each 1.8mm to an estimated weight of 0.30 carats.

The head measures 16x15mm, depth 7mm, weight 6.9grams. Scalloped shaped outer setting, head tests as 18 carat white gold. Shank is stamped 18CT and tests as 18 carat yellow gold. There are no hallmarks as the ring period is estimated at late 1950s early 1960s and before there was a legal requirement for a hallmark.
