A late Victorian dress ring containing three coral stones, one 4mm, two 3.3mm. Set with two old brilliant cut white diamonds, each estimated at 0.15 carats. Colour I-j, clarity Si.
The head is hand carved, claw set, boat shaped 17.5x6.7mm, depth 3.7mm, weight 2.5grams. Tests as 18 carat gold, but no hallmarks as not legally required for that period.
A fine period ring, the subtle pinky orange hue of the natural coral stone is enhanced by the brilliance of the old cut diamond.
