A pretty antique brooch (c1910-1915) of openwork design. There is to the centre a 5mm peridot stone, mille grain set articulating from a display of pairs of leaves each set with a tiny rose cut diamond.
The bi circlet rims have small seed pearls at intervals. The top a bow with another seed pearl. At the base, another articulating pendant set with a pear shaped peridot 7x5mm.
Overall size 40x25mm. Weight 3.6grams. Stamped 9CT, tests as 9 carat gold, no hallmark was legally required at the time.
Safety chain present. Peridot is the birthstone for August.
