Vintage Tom An Italian pink cameo brooch

An Italian brooch containing a rectangular pink conch shell cameo which is carved with classical romanesque figures.

The reverse is stamped 14K, and tests as 14 carat gold. The cameo is set with a plain and beaded frame. 28x25mm, depth 5mm, weight 6.2grams. It cal also be worn as a pendant as there is a 'pop up' bale at the reverse to a chain.

Period assumed 1910-1920. As non UK there are no hallmarks. A fine and unusual cameo brooch.
