Weezer 'The Blue Album' LP Black Vinyl

Weezer, commonly known as the Blue Album, is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Weezer. It was released on May 10, 1994 by DGC Records, two years after the band’s founding, following early struggles to establish themselves as an alternative to grunge in Los Angeles during the early 1990s.

The album was almost entirely arranged and composed by frontman Rivers Cuomo. Recording took place largely at Electric Lady Studios in New York City between August and September 1993. The band collectively chose Cars frontman Ric Ocasek as producer at the request of DGC, during a period that coincided with founding guitarist Jason Cropper being fired and replaced by Brian Bell.
