Designed for dependable rigging and lifting assemblies, these DIN1142 wire rope grips are zinc plated and sized to suit 26mm wire. Supplied as a quantity of 2, they are intended for creating loops in a wire rope assembly or for making a temporary join when required, whether used on board boats in a rigging set-up or in similar land-based applications.

Manufactured from mild steel with a zinc coating for corrosion resistance, each grip should be installed by a qualified person. For best results, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts before fitting, keep spacing between grips at least 6 times the diameter of the rope, and ensure correct orientation with the U-bolt placed on the unloaded end of the rope. Tighten each nut evenly in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings, then re-check after 24 hours, after the first application of load, and periodically during service.
