After the D-Day landings, RAF pilots found an inventive way to lift spirits on the front line: adapting Spitfires to carry beer in casks on modified racks. Airfix captures that unusual chapter with the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IXc Flying Dray model kit in 1:24 scale, including the parts needed to recreate the beer-carrying “Flying Drays”. With high-detail resin components and an external canopy masking set for the clear parts, it offers a distinctive build for Spitfire enthusiasts and aviation modellers alike.

This special release also includes a special edition pint glass dedicated to ML208, one of the aircraft known to have taken part in these missions. Three decal schemes are provided, covering aircraft from France in August 1944, Biggin Hill in December 1942, and Ta’Kali, Malta in September 1946.
