Tamiya Vought F4U-1A Corsair (1:32 Scale)

Few aircraft are as instantly recognisable as the Vought F4U-1A Corsair, and this Tamiya assembly kit recreates the U.S. Navy mainstay in 1/32 scale. The F4U-1A entered service from summer 1943 with the semi-bubble canopy and other updates, and saw extensive action around the Solomon Islands.

Built as a plastic model assembly kit, it captures variant-specific details including the raised pilot seat position, cockpit changes and the starboard leading edge spoiler. The distinctive inverted gull wings can be modelled extended or folded, while flaps and elevators may be posed up or down. A detailed Pratt / Whitney R-2800 engine is depicted, with a removable 2-piece cowling to reveal the powerplant after assembly. Marking options are included to recreate U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps aircraft.
